The objectives of the Association are as follows:

3.1. The promotion, by any appropriate means, of the interests and objectives of General Aviation, as defined and described by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). This includes, among others, all civil aviation activities with the exception of scheduled and non-scheduled air transport operations conducted for remuneration or hire. (SCHIAC shall not be involved in the purchase or commercial operation of aircraft.)

3.2. The active and clear cultivation and dynamic promotion of aviation activity among its members, and through each of them and the Association collectively, the dissemination of the aviation spirit and ideals to the wider public.

3.3. The promotion and assurance of low-cost and safe flight operations in the use and maintenance of General Aviation aircraft, both for private air transport and for professional purposes, including leisure and recreational flying.

3.4. The encouragement of the establishment of a General Aviation airport system, including navigation aids, communication systems, meteorological and other services, necessary and sufficient for use by General Aviation.

3.5. Cooperation with the relevant governmental authorities and agencies, as well as with appropriate organizations, for the promotion and implementation of regulations and procedures in the interest of General Aviation.

3.6. The provision to members of advice, assistance, and information, including lectures, audiovisual presentations, and seminars covering all phases related to flight.

3.7. The promotion of cooperation and camaraderie with other aviation organizations, institutions, and units in Cyprus and/or abroad.

3.8. The undertaking of the organization of, or participation in, aviation competitions and/or demonstrations, both in Cyprus and internationally.

3.9. The contribution to the development of tourism in Cyprus and the international promotion of the country in the aviation sector.

3.10. In cases of emergency, such as fires, natural disasters, accidents, or other crises, SCHIAC shall contribute to the state or others in need, by providing pilots and/or aircraft belonging to its members for the purpose of immediate assistance and/or relief.
